Is Anybody Surprised?

The good news is that California has something to hold him on so he's not back on the street.

There ARE bad people in this world. There ARE disturbed people in this world. The media and grandstanding law-enforcement officials fed a frenzy of speculations which most of the gullible public swallowed. Karr may have enjoyed his brief and bizzare notoriety, for unfathomable reasons. However....

What ever happened to "innocent until PROVEN guilty"? Our legal system does not operate on the "Where there's smoke, there's fire." principle. Scientific DNA evidence, which could have been easily obtained without all the hoopla, blew away all the overheated speculation and false claims about Karr's supposed involvement in this case.

Thanks to our tightly-controlled mainstream media for diverting the attention of the oh-so-easily distracted from the continuing tragedy of New Orleans, the gathering probable fire-storm in the Middle East, and the wide-spread attacks on Americans' civil liberties.
